Danville, VA- Out in Dan Daniel Park in Danville it looked like a "canine congregation" on Saturday.
It was the annual Bark in the Park Day, complete with tricks, competitions, games and giveaways.
Dogs were on their best behavior as they played, pranced, and met some new friends.
There was a loudest bark contest, a best dressed pooch, and a whole lot more.
Today was as much fun for the owners as it was for the dogs, but the owners didn't get any hot dog treats for being well behaved.
We met one family who entered their four-year-old Border collie named "Boomer" in a Frisbee contest, and he won second place
" Yes he wakes up in the morning ready to catch Frisbees -yes- that's all he wants to do," said Debbie and Jay Rojas, Owners of Boomer.
Saturday's event was made possible by Danville Parks, Recreation and Tourism and co-sponsored by Leggett Town and Country.
