Amherst Co., VA - Administrators in Amherst County have run out of patience dealing with fake bomb threats, and are taking action.
According to the superintendent, there have been six phony bomb threats this school year.
Now, the school division is installing detection equipment to catch those responsible.
The school system is also offering a $500 reward to anyone who identifies someone who makes a bomb threat.
False alarms involve considerable costs, including having police officers and fire crews respond to the scene.
The school division is also considering making a student's parents pay for the costs.
