Amcor Shutting Down Danville Plant

Danville, VA -- 35 people are losing their jobs after a Danville plant announced it's closing.

Amcor Tobacco Packaging acquired the AGI-Shorewood plant back in February.

Amcor representatives say they decided to consolidate this plant with ones in Richmond and Reidsville, North Carolina. They will also move more than 30 Danville employees to those two plants.
Amcor manufactures boxes for tobacco products and gum. They expect to close by August.
