ACC Champion Virginia Receives 1 Seed in the East

Greensboro - Just a couple of hours after beating Duke in the ACC Championship game, Virginia received the number 1 seed in the East in the NCAA Tournament field.

The Cavaliers will open in Raleigh Friday night at approximately 9:20 p.m. against Big South champion Coastal Carolina.

UVa's game will begin following the conclusion of the Memphis/George Washington game. If UVa wins Friday, they'd face the winner of that game Sunday.

Florida got the overall number one seed with Arizona and Wichita State earning the other 1 seeds.

Virginia's ACC Tournament win is the Cavaliers' first in 38 years, way back in 1976.
