Lynchburg, VA - You can help the survivors through the Heart of Virginia Tornado Lifeline.
ABC 13 has partnered again with Gleaning for the World, the most efficient charity organization in the United States.
Five tractor trailers were packed with supplies at Gleaning's Appomattox warehouse Tuesday. Those supplies are scheduled to arrive in Oklahoma Thursday.
The Reverend Ron Davidson says Thomas Road Baptist Church has lined them up with a church in Oklahoma, to get the items to those who need them.
"It's actually in eyesight of where the damage is," said Davidson. "The tornado literally went beside the church and did not cause damage to the church itself. We're able to have a facility right in the middle of the damaged area."
