Abandoned Dog in Martinsville Is Healing at SPCA

Martinsville, VA - A Martinsville dog was in bad shape after she was rescued from an abandoned house.

Teapot, a 9-year-old poodle, was taken to the Martinsville-Henry County SPCA last week.
SPCA workers say the owners moved and left Teapot and another dog behind. Teapot was in bad shape with her hair so badly matted that she could hardly walk.
Teapot is doing better now that she's been shaved, but she still has health issues. Animal control is trying to press charges against the owner. They say once their investigation is over, Teapot will be ready for a new home.
