Lynchburg, VA - If you've done any driving over the Labor Day weekend, you've probably noticed gas prices are up. AAA is warning drivers that it's a trend that may continue.
In its weekly report, AAA says gas prices remain below where they were a year ago, but the downward trend has been reversed because the tensions in the Middle East are leading to higher crude oil prices.
The national average Friday for a gallon of unleaded was $3.59, up 5 cents from a week ago.
AAA is projecting that 29.2 million Americans are traveling for the holiday weekend, up 4.3% from last year
