Oklahoma City, OK --Westbound Interstate 40 was closed between Scott Street and Eastern Avenue near Interstate 35 on Tuesday morning due to a wreck, according to the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety.
Our ABC affiliate in Oklahoma City reports that it was a 21-vehicle wreck that caused the closure. Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers confirmed that 12 people were injured in the crash.
Nobody was hurt critically, authorities said.
There was freezing rain and ice in the area, but no official cause for the accident has been released as of Tuesday morning.
