1 Million Virginians Sign Up for Great SouthEast ShakeOut Drill

Louisa Co., VA - State officials say Virginia is in second place, only to California, for the number of people registered for a rolling earthquake drill next month.

The Great SouthEast ShakeOut is set for next Thursday at 10:17 a.m.

More than 1 million Virginians have signed up.

It's been a little more than two years since a massive earthquake centered about an hour from here in Louisa County, rattled the East Coast.

That made all of us think a little bit more about earthquakes and how we would respond.

The drill is open to everyone, from families to businesses.

You can register for the event here.
